Yes folks they are back! The angry white mobs who vehemently oppose socializing health care... while simultaneously confessing their infinite love for medicare. How these people can hold so many conflicting view points without their heads exploding is beyond me. Today's episode was the typical hype parade of fake anger drummed up by corporate lobbyist Richard Berman who bills them as "non-partisan grassroots" organizations. Since these organizations are registered as "non-profit" they don't have to disclose who their donors are.

Let's give Mr. Berman credit here, he's a very clever guy who probably deserves the millions of dollars he's made protecting these interests on the sly. But let's also call a spade a spade and shine a light on this kind of thing because it's a prime example of what's driving these "tea party" protests and anti-health reform rallies. Corporate interests masquerading as "grass roots" to rile up old white people's fears and drive them into the streets to protest.

It's literally like everyone switched hats here in America... a few years ago the hippies and anti war people were calling George Bush a nazi and screaming for impeachment...  now that the so called "Liberals" have all the power and the xenophobic scared sh*tless "conservative" white folks are the ones protesting in the streets. It's kind of hard to put your finger on what they're protesting though... that's the biggest difference between Bush protesters and Obama protesters... the anti-Bush people actually had substance to their arguments. They were against the war and tax cuts for the wealthiest 1% and ignoring science in favor of archaic traditions...  these anti-Obama people are against taxes... but the Obama administration just issued a huge middle class tax cut... none of these people make over 250k a year... they just got a huge tax cut! Now with health care it would seem that they're rallying against "socialized medicine" but a lot of them are older folks who rely on Medicare which is socialized medecine. At this point I can't help but wonder if it's the stupidity of these arguments that's fueling the whole "racism" rationale because in all honesty it's really hard to see any logic behind what these people are in opposition to...  so maybe they just use any excuse they can whip up to hate the big smiling non-white face of something completely different. What other explanation is there?
